“Do you know why are these flowers called the Forget-me not? In medieval Germany, there was a knight and his lady who were walking along a River. The knight spotted a beautiful blue flower with delicate petals floating on the water’s surface. He reached out to pick it for his lady, but as he leaned over the riverbank, his heavy armor caused him to lose balance, and he fell into the water.
As he was being carried away by the river’s current, he tossed the flower to his lady and shouted, “”Forget me not!”” The brave knight was tragically swept away, and his lady was left devastated.
In memory of her lost love/ friend, the lady decided to wear the blue flower he had given her as a tribute. The flower’s name became “”forget-me-not”” as a poignant reminder of the knight’s last words. The flower’s symbolism of eternal love and remembrance spread throughout Europe, and it became a symbol of fidelity and true love.”
